She has worked as a researcher at the Secretaría de Cultura Jalisco for 26 years. She has specialized in the topic of cultural heritage, intervening in the processes of declarations of UNESCO as World Heritage, of the Instituto Cultural Cabañas (1997) and of the Agave Landscape and the Former Tequila Industrial Facilities (2006); and in World Heritage in the research and management of the Mariachi file, string music, singing and trumpet (2010). In her master's thesis she addressed the topic of Astronomical Heritage and Cultural Astronomy as a category of Mixed Heritage, 2021-2023. She has participated in seminars, colloquiums and workshops at local, national and international levels on cultural heritage and cultural astronomy. She has been an ambassador in Mexico of the Network for Astronomy School Education (NASE) since 2018 and is an Associate Member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) since 2020.
