Mayra Gamboa is a professor at the University of Guadalajara and leads the initiative of the City Science lab@Guadalajara. She has a Ph.D. in City, Territory, and Sustainability from the de University of Guadalajara, a Masters's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and has been a consultant of the UN-Habitat office in Mexico. She has worked in both public and private sectors and her areas of research focus on understanding the dynamics of informal growth and urban inequality, design of public spaces, and daily mobility.
