Marcos de J. Aguirre Franco obtained a degree in architecture from the University of Guadalajara, he did a research master with a thesis in architecture theory and criticism as well as a doctorate in City, Territory and Sustainability at the same university. Beyond his practice in architectural design, his areas of research interest are in the theory of architecture and urbanism, analytical philosophy and the philosophy of mind, as well as cognitive sciences in relationship with neuroarchitecture and the perception of space (geography of perception).
