He has been Technical Secretary of the Legislative Commission on Human Settlements and Public Works; Technical Secretary of the General Directorate of Urban Development of Mexico City; Deputy Director General of Urban Development and Housing of the SEDESOL of the federal Government; International Consultant for UNDP and UN-Habitat; Technical Secretary of the Metropolitan Commission of the Valley of Mexico; Director of Planning and Territorial Ordering of the Municipality of Zapopan; Executive Member of the Urban Planning Commission of the Municipality of Guadalajar; General Director of the Strategic Projects Agency of the Government of the State of Jalisco. Currently, he is Director of the Master Plan of the University Cultural District of the University of Guadalajara and Executive Director of the Metropolitan Development Agency METROPLAN.
