JOSÉ ALFONSO BAÑOS FRANCIA graduated as an architect from ITESO; has a master in Sustainable Development and Tourism (CUCosta-UdG) and a PhD in City, Territory and Sustainability at Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico.

He has developed professional activities in the field of architecture in Mexico and abroad; In the academic area, has lectured at the Universidad de Monterrey (UdeM) and at Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Puerto Vallarta (México), between 2003 and 2016.

Currently, he is Professor at Universidad de Guadalajara. It has the Desirable Profile of the Program for Teacher Professional Development (PRODEP) and Recognition in the National System of Researchers level 1, CONACYT, México.
