I have a PhD on Sociology at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. I am interested in the interaction among accessibility, urban space and identities, and I developed post-doctoral research at Universidad Veracruzana and Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico. I recently finished two research projects funded by the National Council on Science and Technology, Mexico (CONACyT). The projects were entitled: ‘The transport system and accessibility at non-central municipalities in Guadalajara Metropolitan Area’, and ‘Transit infrastructure and urban sustainability: The Line 3 of the Light Rail in Guadalajara Metropolitan Area’. The papers I have published cover topics as urban exclusion, accesibility, travel behaviour, spatial identities and social class.
